Montfort Collge, Chiang Mai

Montfort College is one of the best established Thai schools in Chiang Mai, and was also a leader in offering an English Program (EP). The school was founded in 1932 by the brothers of St. Gabriel. Getting into the school is not straight forward as there is high demand, but Montfort has worked hard to transfer it's reputation as a Thai school into English Language education.

How can you find Montfort College? There are 2 key campuses for Montfort - the primary (up to age 12) campus is along the river bank. Head south along Chang Klan road (straight on from Night Bazaar). Turn left at the Empress Hotel, and the school will be straight ahead.

The campus for older students is a little further out of town, just off Mahidol Road. Heading east along Mahidol road from the airport, go over the river, over the Nong Hoi junction (with the old Lamphun Road), over the railway line, and the school is on the left. Unfortunately the entrance to the school is too close to the junction, which means you would need to do a U turn at the super highway, and another U turn under the bridge by the railway. Alternatively there is a back entrance from the road that runs parallel with the railway.
