The Queen Victoria Inn is your traditional Queen Vic, transporting you accross the world to England as soon as you open the door.
Where is it?
The Queen Victoria Inn is a bit off the main drag, but it isn't hard to find and worth a visit. It is inside the moat, just a stones through from the northern gateway. From the moat take Praprokklao road a short way and you'll find the Queen Victoria on the left hand side.
There are 2 Queen Victorias in Thailand, one in Chiang Mai and another in Pattaya. Both are traditional pubs and well designed. In Chiang Mai you can expect imported draught beers while watching the match on one of the bars tv's. The seating areas are cosy perfect for small groups. The food is excellent with farang sized portions - just try the onion rings. The bar also offers a pool table and darts board. While the table is one of the best around, its upstairs away from the rest of the bar. There is also free wireless internet available, making it a great choice for a quiet afternoons surfing. The main downside to the Queen Victoria is the location, off the main drag down a side street. Shame as if it was more central this would be a very popular bar!
