North Gate Jazz Bar, Chiang Mai

North Gate Bar, strangely enough, situated by the North Gate to the moat. The North Gate Bar is a brand new haven for jazz lovers, offering fantastic live Jazz in Chiang Mai every night. The band plays throughout the evening, and invites customers to jump up and jam with them, so if you're a jazz lover, or musician in Chiang Mai, this is the place to go.

What else does the North Gate offer? Well it has a variety of seating options, from the casual sofas downstairs, to some comfortable seating on a balcony overlooking the band. It also has a Japanese style lounge in where you can crawl in and relax on cushions again, with a view over the band. As well as the usual beers, there is a small selection of house cocktails - as the bar is brand new, expect further additions in the near future. Where is it?

It is of course, by the north gate of the moat. Just around the corner from the Queen Victoria, head to the north gate, you will see it on the moat road slightly to the east of the gate. If you can't see it, you will definitely hear it! The band plays loudly, so you might be tempted to sit by the side of the moat and take in the jazz from a distance - nice!
