The Britannia, Chiang Mai

The Britannia is situated inside the moat near the north east corner. A british named pub, but once inside there is little in the way of traditional British atmosphere. A couple of TV's play British music videos but customers are still able to chat comfortably. Seating is either around the bar, or around large wooden tables - the seating is however more typically Thai design.

The Britannia offered a pleasant venue to relax for a beer with friends, the highlight of our night came as we planned to leave, when some delicious and complimentary chips arrived - not french fries, but proper British potato wedges!

How can you find it? The Britannia is a couple of hundred yards down Moonmuang Soi 9. Get to the crossroads and you will find the Local - bear left and right to continue down the road, and you'll find the Britannia not much further on the left.
