The 8th is one of the toughest holes on this side, and the challenge begins with the tee shot. A huge bunker sits in the middle of the fairway, and the bunkers seems to attract a lot of tee shots. With water down the left of the fairway, going to the left of the bunker is dangerous. But as the hole bends around to the left, going to the right of the bunker just makes the hole even longer.

Assuming your are on the fairway, you will of course be targeting the green. Getting to the green involves carrying over a long, long bunker up hill to the green. Miss the green, and there is water all around, the your ball can quite easily trail off into. You might be better tempted to play along the fairway to the right, and trust your chipping for an up and down.
