Handicap Hole 7
The 4th hole is a longish par 5 which dog legs twice to the left. Big hitters will be tempted to cut the corner off the tee, but only really big hitters will succeed. With the orchard running all along the left side of the fairway, shots going to the left mean trouble. The tee shot from an elevated tee also needs to carry over a short orchard before reaching the fairway.
Few players will be left with a shot to get to the green in 2, and with bunkers guarding the green any attempt is risky. The fairway is wide and long, so the best shot is to go straight down the fairway, making sure you get past the last tree on the left. This opens up a straight shot to the green. There are 2 deep bunkers, either side of the green, so getting on the green can save you strokes.
The back of the green slopes steeply away, so if you reach the back, its likely you’ll roll off the back. This can also mean some tricky putts depending on the flag position. There is also a left to right slope to read.
